Developer's note about blank or vague negative app reviews:
For all the reviewers that leave 1, 2 or 3 star reviews, could you please elaborate why you felt the app deserved a low score? I would really like to improve these apps to give you a better experience.
Often there are many arbitrary low-star reviews to prevent independent developers' products from competing. I take pride in not artificially inflating my apps with fake positive reviews — a frequent and unfortunate practice nowadays in app stores. Consequently, the average rating for my apps are lower than others that battle negative ratings by buying artificial positive ratings.
I encourage negative reviewers be vocal and honest in their assessment to actually inform potential users and developers of the app's shortcomings. My apps may deserve a low score, but I can't tell what to improve without your feedback. Blank or vague negative reviews help no one.
Also, please note that the gameplay offered is different than the version you may see on BBC's Only Connect, as described in the description below (main differences are groups of three and connections hidden until the end of the round). As I've already mentioned in replies to negative reviews giving a low rating because it doesn't play like the TV show: it is illegal to plagiarize and I had to make the gameplay a variant of what you see on TV. Making the same game increases the likelihood of all my apps being suspended from the Play Store for copyright. If you want the exact game as seen on TV, you will have to look to the BBC who owns the rights to their game.
Thanks for understanding!
Game description:
It's harder than it looks.
Simply sort a wall of tiles into separate colored groups of 3. Each group of 3 will be connected in some fashion.
Here's an example: Othello, Sophomore, Hamlet, Freshman, Senior, MacBeth
The sorted groups are:
Othello, Hamlet, MacBeth — Shakespearean plays
Sophomore, Freshman, Senior — Undergraduate positions
If you thought that was easy, don't worry, it gets trickier. Help is available along your journey to the fiendish "Brainiac" level puzzles. You can use a hint to tell you how a tile of your choice connects with other members in its group.
In addition to the single-player mode, you can challenge a friend or a stranger to complete a wall in the fastest time. Both players solve the same wall separately.
If you are a fan of BBC's Only Connect, or the board game TriBond, you will love Connecting Walls.
